Tulsi Gir Gaushala was born from a simple yet powerful belief that Gaumata is not just an animal, but a source of purity, nourishment, and spiritual strength for society. Our journey began long before the Gaushala was formally established. It started with a deep cultural connection, a desire to live in harmony with nature, and the inspiration drawn from ancient traditions of Gauseva.
The foundation of Tulsi Gir Gaushala was laid in January 2023, but the seeds were planted years earlier. Dr. Khatri’s family maintained a green organic vegetable farm near their home. One day, a close friend, an Ayurvedic doctor helped them to understand the profound importance of Gaumata in organic farming, Ayurveda, and holistic living. Inspired by this wisdom, Dr. Khatri and Family welcomed their first Gaumata into the family.
That moment changed everything. They experienced firsthand how Gaumata enriches the soil, the environment, and the human spirit. This realization grew into a mission to create a space where cows are cared for with devotion, and where people can reconnect with the values that sustain our culture and today we know that space Tulsi Gir Gaushala.
Spirituality: Rooted in ancient traditions, our Gaushala is guided by values of devotion, purity, and service.
Simplicity & Sincerity: We come from a background of village life, where simplicity, honesty, and community form the foundation of daily living. These values shape our approach to Gauseva.
Organic Living: Our cows are surrounded by green fields and are fed fresh, organic farm produce every day. We believe that purity in food leads to purity in life.
Community Connection: Tulsi Gir Gaushala is not just a shelter - it is a movement. A collective effort where people come together to support, learn, and serve.
To connect society, especially the younger generation to the spiritual, cultural, and ecological importance of Gaumata, and to create an organized, community-driven model of Gauseva that inspires and uplifts.
Many people in society wish to serve or care for Gaumata but cannot keep a cow at home. Tulsi Gir Gaushala was created to bridge this gap.
Our purpose is to:
We believe that serving Gaumata is not just a ritual - it is a way of life that nurtures compassion, purity, and balance.
